The COP26 Summit has bought almost every country together to discuss and review climate change and how to tackle it.

Timber plays crucial role in reducing carbon emissions and is infinitely renewable.

We are passionate about timber and we are dedicated to sourcing our products from sustainably managed forests.

WOOD HAS A CLOSED CARBON CYCLE

🌲Did you know that 1m³ of wood stores 1 tonne of CO2?

🌎Did you know that the wood industry provides over 2,000,000 jobs in Europe?

🌲Did you know that the wood industry generates 200,000,000,000 euro each year?

🌎Did you know that the wood industry counts more than 350,000 companies?

🌲Did you know that Europe’s forests gained 5 times the area of Belgium in the last 20 years?

🌎Did you know that Europe’s forests store 9,552 million tonnes of CO2?

🌲Did you know that Europe’s wood products store 60 million tonnes of CO2?

🌎Did you know that only 64% of the annual forest increment is harvested?

FORESTRY & THE ENVIRONMENT

Timber plays crucial role in reducing carbon emissions in our built environment.  This short video below provides some useful information about forestry and the environment.

THE TREE STORY

In a sustainably managed forest more trees are planted than are cut down.  Commercially managed woodland locks up even more CO2 than wild forests and woodland.  Felling trees and using timber in a sustainably managed way is good for the environment.

FORESTRY & CLIMATE CHANGE

Climate change is one of the greatest threats we face today.

By planting more trees and using more wood in our everyday lives, we can all play a part in tackling climate change.

ANIMATING FORESTRY

WOOD FOR GOOD

Wood is the best material to build with for the environment, using much less energy than bricks of steel.  Wood is infinitely renewable.

Well managed woodlands of conifers and broadleaves encourage wildlife, reduce carbon  and provide healthy places to enjoy nature.
