SHEDBED is...

Cost effective - HUGE cost savings over concrete, paving and any type of hardstanding!
Heavy Duty - SHEDBED utilises the unique BASEFEAT adjustable leveling system which is manufactured from Mild Steel which has been Zinc Galvanized to protect against the elements for up to 20 + years! BASEFEAT also utilises Heavy Duty high load capacity (1500kg per foot!) nylon tilting and adjustable M16 threaded feet!
Load Bearing - BASEFEAT has a high load capacity of around 1500kg per foot! (We recommend calculating feet requirements at 750kg per foot just to give yourselves room for maneuver and peace of mind.)
Can be installed on virtually any surface! - Even though SHEDBED Kits all use Tanalised (Pressure Treated) Tanalith E construction grade timber, the timber is NEVER in contact with the ground, no worry of rot or decay from the ground up!

NO Groundwork or preparation required - Unlike various shed foundation 'kits' or methods on the market today, there is no need for ANY groundworks, ground levelling or preparation using BASEFEAT/SHEDBED!

Non permanent...CAN BE EASILY MOVED!
Design for both soft and hard ground - SHEDBED can be used on both hard and soft ground, grass or dirt? NO problem, SHEDBED can utilise it' ground anchor or ground plates for additional stability on softer surfaces!
Extends the life of Sheds and Garden Buildings - Because the timber is NOT in contact with the floor, the life of your garden building can be extended for decades! Your shed floor is kept dry and well ventilated!

It is paramount to the long life of any garden building, that it is erected on a flat, level, solid, square base!

National Nest Box Week

14th to 21st February

National Nest Box week runs from 14 to 21 February.

During this week people are encouraged to put up nest boxes as natural nesting sites such as holes in trees and old buildings are diminishing. Hanging a nest box and looking out for any birds it may attract is the perfect half term activity, both fun and educational. Pick up a nest box from our shop in Norton St Philip for just £3.99 and see what birds end up in your garden.

BE STORM READY

BE STORM READY

The Met Office have issued severe weather warnings covering Friday 3 February and Saturday 4th February for the South West of England. Be storm ready with our guide!

The following actions can be taken to limit damage to your home and belongings:

Storms often result in power cuts especially in rural areas, make a storm kit which includes torches, medication, food, water and blankets etc.
Make sure all windows and doors are shut and locked where possible.
Place cars in garages or somewhere they can be protected from flying debris.
Secure items outside your home that could be blown away, such as outdoor furniture, bins etc
Keep pets indoors.
Check that nearby trees and/or structures are undamaged and are not in danger of being blown over and damaging your home or presenting a risk to people.

If the wind is already up:

Take note of warnings and listen in to the local media for any further warnings/emergency information.
Do not go outside unless it is safe, or it is absolutely essential that you do so.
Avoid making any repairs until the storm is over.
Avoid driving unless it is essential. If you must drive, drive slowly and with great care, use your lights to make you more visible.
Report downed or damaged power lines to your electricity provider but STAY AWAY. HIGH VOLTAGES KILL.

When the storm is over…

Avoid standing near any structures or trees that may have become unsafe during the storm.
Be aware of any loose electrical wires and cables that may have been damaged and contact your local electricity provider or a reputable electrician.
Contact your insurance company immediately if you think you need to make a claim.
